Our Teak

When you buy from Manor Teak Furniture, you are benefitting from years of experience in this industry and the excellent relationship that we have built up with the factories on Java, Indonesia.

The Teak furniture is first class quality and from completely sustainable sources. We can safely guarantee that none of the teak wood used in the manufacture of our products is from illegal logging of natural forests.

None of the teak that we sell has been chemically treated in any way. You will see many suppliers selling teak furniture that has been artificially darkened by the use of harsh chemical treatments, beware of this, it is harmful to the user and the unfortunate factory workers who carry out the process and can lead to major skin irritation just by leaning on the tables or sitting on the chairs.

Beware also advertising claiming grades of teak. There is very little genuine grade A teak on the market, and what there is will be eye wateringly expensive! There is very little point in using this teak for outdoor furniture, it will not last longer or look any different after a small period of time.  In my experience Grade A is the most suitable for outdoor furniture, our teak is all grade A. One of the main considerations is ensuring that the teak has been sufficiently kiln dried, rather than any grades, when the furniture is manufactured.

Here you will be able to see the restoration of some grade A teak benches that we had sited in a garden  9 years. With no treatment or care whatsoever, they had all been left out all year round in all weathers. With very little effort these benches were brought back to an as new condition and I repeat these were all made from grade A teak.

All of our Benches and Sets are suitable for commercial and public use and we can help with any setting arrangements etc
